Here is something for the pub quiz:

The misfortune of King Henry VIII’s six wives. The photos aren’t in order because of stupid Tumblr… the order from left to right top to bottom is: Katherine of Aragon, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard, Katherine Parr, Anne Boleyn.

Katherine of Aragon - he cheated on her and fell in love with Anne Boleyn and declared their marriage invalid and ground her to the grave. Gave birth to Margaret.

Anne Boleyn - accused of adultery and beheaded. Gave birth to Elizabeth.

Jane Seymour - died of neglect two weeks after giving birth to Edward.

Anne of Cleves - he considered her ugly and refused to ‘consummate’ the marriage and then had their marriage anulled.

Katherine Howard - was really really young. Henry had her beheaded for adultery.

Katherine Parr - the only reason she lived was because Henry died before he could kill her.

What an utterly tragic court.

What do Edward Scissorhands, Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG and Heston Blumenthal have in common?

Food, delicious magical food.

These movies/characters/books are the inspiration for a series of short stories that I am working on. Think: amazing machines, magical sweets and wonderful faraway places.
